The tour includes a lot of free time to be spent in the open air surrounded by greenery, where you can take pictures of a suggestive scenario that you will never forget.
This tour is also interesting in winter when snow covers everything; the mountains are the most natural place for snow, which emphasizes the beauty of these unspoiled places: here one can come alive far from the stress of everyday life.
In case of bad weather we will offer you alternative routes including a visit to a Prosecco cellar in the hills or to some historic abbeys. The 9-hour tour includes the departure from Venice at 9 am and return to Venice at 18 pm. Outwards during the journey you will cross Longarone, a small town that became infamous because of the Vajont dam disaster in 1963, the tragic event that led to the destruction of the town and the death of about 2,000 people.
Once you are arrive in Cortina d'Ampezzo you will have time, as agreed with the driver, to walk, take the cableway and reach the top of the mountain to better appreciate the impressive peaks and the valley, go shopping and take pictures. In Cortina you can have lunch and ask our driver for tips about restaurants.
The second stop will be the magnificent natural emerald Misurina lake, part of the National Park of the Dolomites, where you can admire in the distance the three peaks of Lavaredo, one of the most fascinating spot of the Dolomites; in the months of June, July, August and September the three peaks can be visited and our drivers will accompany you to the closest point where you can get off and walk down the paths of World War I: there you can easily find military artifacts.
Last (but not least) stop is Pieve di Cadore, the city where the famous Renaissance painter Titian was born. In this small mountain town, a pleasant conclusion of the tour, you will see the XV century house where the painter lived, the church with one of his fresco, the typical city center and, finally, the Eyewear museum (Cadore is an area famous for the eyewear industry and not far from Pieve di Cadore there is an important eyewear firm operating worldwide: Luxottica).
During the winter season Daily Dolomites tour will discover 3 fantastic mountain places: the famous Cortina d?ampezzo, the amazing Braies Lake with its fairytale scenery and the typical mountain town of innichen with its beautiful christmas market.
